TPE suppliers have responded developing a variety of compounds with the attributes to bond to several engineering plastics such as nylon (PA), polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), and PC/ABS alloys This paper elaborates different TPE technologies developed to bond to various rigid substrates i.e. Nylon (PA), Polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile-butadiene- styrene (ABS), and PC/ABS alloys Introduction A wide variety of thermoplastic materials are used to make molded products. The focus for this study was to develop thermoplastic elastomer compounds that would overmold onto substrates made from Nylon (PA), Polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), and PC/ABS alloys.
