Scope 1 emissions are direct emissions owned or controlled by a company, whereas scope 2 and 3 indirect emissions result from the company’s activities but occur from sources not owned or controlled by it. While many companies can measure and manage scope 1 and 2 emissions, the intricacies of obtaining specific scope 3 emissions data for raw materials can pose a challenge for those with net zero or carbon reduction targets.

All the materials are manufactured in ISO 13485-2016 certified sites and supported by testing to ISO 10993-1, USP, EP, and ICH Q3D protocols. Avient is exhibiting at Pharmapack in Hall 7.2, booth D70, at the Paris Expo in Porte de Versailles, France, February 1-2, 2023.

Due to this unique viscosity/shear rate dependency, normal melt index testing (done at shear rates as low as 50 1/sec) will not reflect how the TPE will process at higher shear rates. Shear rates during extrusion processing are usually in the hundreds of reciprocal seconds and shear rates during injection molding may go as high as 11,000 1/sec.
