ColorMatrix AAnchor is a non-ATA-based product with very low levels of migration to support compliance with migratory limits even in closed- loop recycle systems, where risk is highest. With new EU regulations regarding primary aromatic amines (PAAs), ColorMatrix AAnchor offers reduced regulatory risk as it will not form PAAs, unlike other ATA-based solutions. It is compatible with PET bottles formed from an extrusion blow-molded or stretch blow-molded process.

The process is easy to implement with traditional packaging polymers using standard stretch blow molding machinery. The additive creates tiny bubbles inside the semi-crystalline resins which, when stretched during blow molding, reflect light and shine for a high gloss, metallic appearance.

However, when recycled bottles are not high enough quality to transform into new bottles or packaging, rPET can be washed, heated, and stretched into fiber to create polyester yarn and fabric.
