标题：Avient’s PCR Color Prediction Service helped achieve color consistency in L’Oréal PCR packaging worldwide for its Redken line of hair care products.  Having identified optimized colorants for the packaging of the Redken line worldwide, Avient’s PCR Color Prediction Service helped L’Oréal simplify overall color development with recycled resin. This means fewer color iterations, fewer color trials, and fewer plastic bottles traveling from one zone to the other.

This predictive simulation technology factors in conventional (isotropic) and advanced (anisotropic) modeling data from material characterizations, mold filling analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA). Based on static and dynamic data, the virtual simulations can more accurately predict where an injection molded plastic part may crack or break when exposed to physical loading forces or a sudden impact (crash simulation). To exemplify the improved accuracy of FEA capabilities, Avient tested and analyzed the performance of an injection-molded automotive connector rod, a traditional metal component, using isotropic and anisotropic material mapping.

In addition, the absence of fluorine in the new LubriOne grades also reduces mold corrosion and facilitates part removal. Converters can use existing molds and processing parameters if the base material system is not changed. While parts molded in non-fluorinated LubriOne can remain lubricated for their useful life, they can also be recycled in PFAS-free material streams after use.  

Most GLS TPE materials replicate the mold surface fairly well. To produce a glossy finish, a polished mold is required and an unfilled grade should be used. If a matte finish is required, a rougher mold texture should be used (or a GLS product such as GLS Versalloy™ TPV Alloys, which naturally produce a matte surface).
